Public Relations and Events Coordinator
Duties include communicating with the public and the media; managing and maintaining the Bishop website and social media sites; organizing events; designing promotional materials; creating the Bishop newsletter; photographing animals; and working with the Kennel Manager to coordinate adoption events and promotions. Must have Associate’s Degree or higher education in public relations or a related field; minimum 2 years experience in public relations, marketing, and/or event planning; and must be computer literate and comfortable with social media.
Pay dependent on experience and education.
Veterinary Technicians are responsible for processing incoming animals (vaccinations, blood tests, etc.), maintaining accurate medical records, and assisting the vet during surgery. Veterinary Technicians must be able to work independently while maintaining communication with the vet. This position works on all of our open days. CVT preferred or minimum 2 years experience working as a tech.
Animal Care Specialist
Animal Care Specialists are responsible for cleaning animal habitats, bathing and feeding animals, participating in animal enrichment programs, match making animals with potential adopters and processing adoptions. The Animal Care position includes working weekends and holidays. Must have high school diploma or GED.
